Hi! I'm a curious, adventurous, enthusiastic film editor, specializing in documentaries and thriving off the opportunity to craft compelling stories out of complicated non-fiction footage.
I'm very proud to have edited the feature documentaries “Shouting Down Midnight” (Dir. Gretchen Stoeltje / South by Southwest 2022) and “At the Ready” (Dir. Maisie Crow / Sundance 2021). I also had the privilege of cutting several short docs for director Ben Masters and was the additional editor on his feature "The River and the Wall," which won the Lone Star Award at SXSW 2019. I was most recently honored to cut a forthcoming documentary short about an overlooked 1980 KKK shooting and its historic legal impact - "How to Sue the Klan" (Dir. John Beder).
I cut my teeth working extensively on the Sundance documentaries, "Richard Linklater - Dream is Destiny" and "A Place at the Table"; and was an assistant editor to Oscar-nominated editor Sandra Adair on Richard Linklater's "Everybody Wants Some", and her own documentary "The Secret Life of Lance Letscher." I was also an additional editor on the documentary "A Single Frame," which premiered at Austin Film Festival and in 2018 I was an editor on what eventually became the “Girl, Unscripted” series, now on PBS.
While my passion lies in post-production, I relish the opportunity to spice it up with production work. I'm adept and adaptable at playing many roles in the process - from researching and field producing to shooting or sound recording.
I moved from New York to Austin, TX 12 years ago to enroll in the University of Texas' film masters program, where I directed and edited narrative and documentary shorts. I didn’t expect to live here for so long, but here I am happily with my partner, toddler and dog. I am adept at working remotely but am also open to relocating temporarily for work.
